Road chaos as lorry spills fuel

Rush-hour traffic was brought to a standstill today after a lorry from a Shropshire company spilled 150 litres of diesel onto a main road in a Mid Wales town.

The lorry, from a builders merchants in Craven Arms, was struck by a metal sheet, splitting its fuel tank, as it drove through roadworks on the A483 near Garth Owen, Newtown, shortly after 9am.
