Our dog of the week: Mitch
Friday 13th February 2009, 5:59AM GMT.

Local Dogs Trust Roden resident Mitch is hoping that his turn as the Shropshire Star’s Dog of the Week will unite him with the owner of his dreams.
The little Yorkie is 11 years old but still loves all the best things in life – a good walk, chasing his ball across the grass, cuddles and a lovely bit of chicken.
Mitch often likes to ‘man’ reception at the Shropshire Rehoming Centre of the UK’s largest dog welfare charity, and it would be a special bonus if his new owner could also take him to work.
Dogs Trust Roden Manager Louise Campbell said: “Though he can be a little timid and it takes a bit of time for him to relax around new people, Mitch really is a small dog with a big attitude. We are certain that with lots of love and understanding, he will blossom into a very happy and secure little dog in his new home.
“He prefers adults to children, but is lovely with other dogs and cats. We will all be very sorry to lose Mitch’s company when his new owner eventually finds him, and I don’t know how Reception will cope. But for Mitch to find the happy new home he deserves would make his dreams come true.”
If you think you could be the owner Mitch is looking for, please visit Dogs Trust Roden, Roden Lane Farm, Telford, or call 01952 770225.
