Herd back in Town spotlight

Ben Herd steps back into the Shrewsbury Town spotlight this weekend determined to make up for lost time and help play a part in reigniting the promotion dream.
Herd is almost certain to make his first appearance since November 14 for the visit of Chesterfield on Saturday, as Darren Moss begins a three-match suspension.
Ironically, Herd’s last outing came in the 2-2 draw at the Spirites.
And the former Watford youngster is hoping to make the most of his chance – if it comes along – as Town try to recover the momentum lost by defeat at Bournemouth.
“I don’t want to count my chickens but I would hope to be involved on Saturday,” said Herd.
“It’s unfortunate the way it has come about but one man’s mis-fortune is another man’s opportunity.
“It will be great if I am back involved because they are all big games. We can still get in the top three.
“A lot of teams are beating each other and I think that’s going to mean a low points total to get promoted this year, so if we can put a little sustained run together it would make a big difference.
“We know if we are going to do that, we need to get results away from home and that would ease the pressure.”
