Fire crewFirefighters were called to help a Telford schoolboy after he got his finger stuck in a plastic toolbox.

Staff at Muxton Primary School had to call for the firefighters when they were unable to budge the seven-year-old’s finger.

The youngster had been playing during lunchtime when he stuck his right index finger in a circular hole in a toolbox shortly before 1.30pm.

Ian Pugh, crew manager at Wellington fire station, said: “We used some small cutting gear to do little snips to get it out.”

The boy was unhurt.

His parents took him home to recover from his mishap.
