Shrewsbury-based chartered accountants Dyke Yaxley is celebrating after being named a winner of a coveted Midlands Excellence Award.
The award for business excellence was presented before 1,200 guests by Midlands Excellence chairman Alan Jones and James Caan of Dragons’ Den who was guest speaker at the spectacular ceremony held at Birmingham’s International Convention Centre.
Dyke Yaxley’s managing director Helen Thomas said: “We are overwhelmed to win. This success is testimony to our dedication and proves that weâre continuing to lead the way in setting new standards of excellence.
“We pride ourselves on staying one step ahead of the competition and recognition like this on such a high profile stage truly sets us apart.”
Dyke Yaxley employs 90 people at its Shrewsbury office but delivers a wide range of business services to clients across the region and beyond, whilst offering specialist advice in key industries.
Also a finalist at the awards last Thursday was Shrewsbury-based pi financial, and Doncasters. Construction and maintenance company J&S Seddon, which recently opened a base in Telford, was also highly commended in a special category recognising sustainability.
Midlands Excellence is a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to helping all types of organisations improve their all-round performance.
Entrants to the main awards chart their progress in nine key business areas, which include leadership, managing people and satisfying customers. All areas form part of the Business Excellence Model, a management framework used by more than 20,000 organisations across Europe.
Teams of expert Midlands Excellence assessors then evaluate the submissions and provide valuable feedback to drive continuous improvement.
