Wolves close in on Berra

Wolves were today poised to complete the signing of Hearts captain Christophe Berra after the defender was given permission to talk to the Coca-Cola Championship leaders.The Jambos have decided to sell Berra, who turned 24 today, after agreeing a fee reportedly in the region of £2.3m.
The Scotland international was set to travel to the midlands this morning to discuss personal terms with Wolves, and will therefore miss Hearts’ Clydesdale Bank Premier League trip to Hamilton today.
A Tynecastle spokesperson said: “Hearts have given Christophe permission to talk to Wolves, and he does so with our blessing.”
