Bosses at YouTube today warned users of the site that their accounts would be deleted if they frequently post inappropriate videos.

The warning comes after a video of a motorist driving at more than 100mph between Shrewsbury and Telford was posted on the social networking site.

Police launched an investigation into the incident and following an appeal, an 18-year-old man handed himself in to police.

He was released pending further inquiries. A YouTube spokesman said: “If a user repeatedly breaks the rules we disable their account.”
