The Source Vodka Bar in Barker Street hosts weekly Cuban salsa lessons every Thursday evening from 8pm, with beginners and improvers classes running until 9.30pm when the dancefloor turns into one big freestyle party.
The dance has become increasingly popular over the past few decades, with men and women of all ages and abilities embracing the social and fitness benefits.
Last night’s dancers were taught by Graham Jones from Oswestry (above, right), who has been salsa dancing for years and began teaching about 18 months ago.
Graham was helped by advanced salsa dancer Leanne Combrinck from Shrewsbury (above, centre) , who took up the activity over a year ago and has just returned from a salsa sojourn in Cuba.
Salsa lessons at Source are priced £4 (partner not essential).
