This photo of members of Monkmoor Ladies Club in the mid 1970s was e-mailed in by Lynn Williams, of Shrewsbury, who says: “My grandmother was Hilda May Jones, vice-chairman, who is at the end of the third row up, far right.
“The caption alongside reads: ‘Instead of their usual weekly meeting, 25 members of Monkmoor Ladies Club went to see My Fair Lady at Birmingham, on January 28. The remainder held an informal meeting at Monkmoor School, presided over by Mrs H. M. Jones, vice chairwoman. Competition winner was Mrs D. Luscutt and tea hostesses were Mesdames G. Wilson, E. Sneade and D. Luscott.’”
