Our dog of the week: Dukey
Friday 30th January 2009, 9:25AM GMT.
Dukey is in need of a home
Local Dogs Trust Roden resident Dukey is a beautiful and gentle Cocker Spaniel. Despite his beautiful big brown eyes and loveable nature, he doesn’t have an owner or a home to call his own.
Fourteen-year-old Dukey takes life at a very slow pace.
He enjoys a potter in the garden and loves lots of cuddles.
Manager of Dogs Trust Roden, Louise Campbell said she was saddened that Dukey is still waiting for someone to fall for him.
“New people do seem to be put off by poor Dukey’s age,” she said.
“But whoever is lucky enough to adopt this lovely lad will discover he is an incredibly loyal dog who will make you smile every day with his gorgeous character.
“Dukey would undoubtedly be a friend for life to whoever offered him a loving home in his twilight years.
“Dukey is suitable to live with children aged 12 years and over and is fantastic with other dogs.”
If you think you can offer Dukey his long-awaited home, please visit Dogs Trust Roden, Roden Lane Farm, Telford, or call 01952 770225.
