Driver falls ill at wheel

A man was taken to hospital after collapsing at the wheel of his car in Telford.
The man was found after the black Mitsubishi Colt he was driving was involved in a minor collision with a green Vauxhall Meriva in Hartshill, Oakengates, yesterday, at about 4.15pm.
Murray MacGregor, West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman, said: “A man in his 50s appeared to have become ill at the wheel. There was little damage to his car but he was unconscious.
Fire crews from Telford and Wellington worked with paramedics to get the man into a waiting ambulance.
