Travellers quit camp

Travellers who had set up camp outside the entrance of a Telford firm’s new £1 million extension today left their unofficial site.
The caravans started moving off from land near VA Tech’s base in Halesfield last night – just hours before Telford & Wrekin Council was granted an order to possess the land at Telford County Court.
Jim Byrne, VA Tech managing director, said: “Now we can get under way with carrying on our business.”
The firm had announced it had put a stop to plans for a technology development centre at the site over security concerns.
