Shropshire life-coach, Louise Presley-Turner, says her style of life coaching has produced some amazing results by helping people define what they really want – and then working with them to turn their life around.
The 29-year-old from Bridgnorth made her own life-changing decision to become a life coach three years ago, after the birth of her daughter.
“I’ve always had a passion for self-development and spirituality, but like many of us I fell into a job from school and worked my way up the ranks to finally become a marketing manager. As happy as I was, I always knew there was something else I should be doing with my life I just didn’t know what it was.
“Just after the birth of my daughter I read a book called ‘Excuse me, your life is waiting’ by Lynn Grabhorn and quite literally my life turned a huge corner. It opened my mind up to a whole new magical world and ultimately changed my outlook on life. My journey of self-discovery eventually led to me train as a life coach and I opened the door to my business ‘The Game of Life’ in 2007.
“I’ve found a career that truly inspires me, combines all my interests, my skills, talents and experience but more importantly I’ve found something I’m really passionate about in life – helping others to live to their full potential. Once we find our passion, all of a sudden it feels like we’re not fighting against the current anymore and everything just falls into place.
“Coaching isn’t just about giving people an injection of motivation and a kick up the bum, it’s also an inward journey where people, often for the first time in their life really get to know themselves better. In doing so, they can navigate their life in the right direction producing positive results far quicker than ever before.”
Louise said a life coach worked with people who were ready to make some positive changes to their life.
“That could be progressing their career, setting up their own business or growing their business. Or it could be about themself as a person, increasing self-esteem, living their dreams, enjoying new and fun experiences, finding love, creating inner peace, loosing weight and much more.”
She said she helped clients to set three really big goals giving them the focus and motivation they needed to point their life in the right direction.
“We then create a plan of action or strategy, breaking the goals down into small bite size chunks, which is fundamental when trying to achieve any big objective. We then start making baby steps over a set period of time, normally six to nine months, until the client reaches their final destination. Coaching isn’t a quick fix, it’s a whole new exciting way of living.”
“No one has ever said living the life of your dreams is easy. It takes drive and determination, persistence and patience, faith and trust in the wonderful power within but most importantly action. The greatest risk however, comes from doing nothing at all.
“Life is for living not enduring.”
