£250,000 county Lottery win claimed

Tuesday 27th January 2009, 12:45PM GMT.

One lucky Shropshire resident is £250,000 richer today – but is keen to keep news of their windfall secret.

The unnamed person has finally come forward to claim a £250,000 fortune from the National Lottery, more than a month after the Thunderball ticket came up trumps with the numbers 11, 24, 27, 28, 29 and thunderball 11 on Christmas Eve.

Julian Fisher, Camelot spokesman, said the winner had been validated, but at the moment they wished to remain anonymous. He said: “I can’t give any more details on the winner as they wish to remain anonymous.”
