Shropshire Star Face of the Future Jodie Lee Jones at the Telford wedding exhibition
Telford’s annual wedding exhibition opened today with more than 40 businesses taking part.
The exhibition will run at the Telford Shopping Centre for seven days.
Shropshire’s Face of the Future, Jodie Lee Jones, was cutting the ribbon this morning to officially open the exhibition.
Visitors will have the chance to talk to bridal shop owners and see some of the gowns available as well as chatting to those behind some of the area’s top venues for weddings and receptions.
There will also be representatives from car hire firms, cake makers, photographers, beauty salons and many other companies who specialise in the special touches that make a wedding day perfect.
Before Christmas there were fears that the 2009 exhibition would not go ahead after new health and safety regulations looked like making it unfeasible.
But the Shropshire Star stepped in, and negotiations led to the exhibition being revived.
