Man cons pensioner

A conman stole £300 from a Telford pensioner after he talked his way into her home.
The woman in her 90s was targeted at Walton Court in Oakengates, shortly after 5.30pm yesterday, when a man knocked on her door claiming he knew her.
Police said the victim let him into her home where the man told her he had goods to sell. The pensioner told him she did not have any money.
But the man asked her to hand over her purse, cash cards and PIN numbers for him to go and get the money for her, which she did. He never returned and £300 was taken from her account.
