Fleetwood go Wilde

Friday 23rd January 2009, 11:42AM GMT.

Fans’ favourite Michael Wilde has parted company with Welsh Premier title chasers The New Saints to join Fleetwood Town.

Wilde, a hard working and robust forward, spent seven years with the Saints and follows team-mate Michael Taylor, who moved to the Blue Square North side earlier this month.

He could make his debut tomorrow in a league clash at home to AFC Telford.

The striker joined TNS as a 19-year-old from Poulton Victoria, scoring 89 Welsh Premier goals from 135 appearances for the club and was twice named supporters’ player of the year.
