Shropshire cinemagoers have a chance to delve into the past this weekend with two historical dramas opening in the county.

Valkyrie, starring Tom Cruise, and Frost/Nixon, directed by Ron Howard, deal with crucial periods of the 20th Century, both in Germany and the United States.

Cruise’s new movie covers an attempted assassination of Adolf Hitler, while Howard’s film is a look at David Frost’s famous ‘Watergate’ interview with Richard Nixon in 1977.

Watch our exclusive video review as Carl Jones takes a look at the latest heavyweights to hit our cinema screens.
