Bucks facing life on the road

Midfielder Jon Adams believes AFC Telford United are about to face their biggest challenge of the season as they prepare to enter a demanding month on the road.
The Bucks travel to Fleetwood Town tomorrow, and that kick-starts a run of up to six consecutive games away from home.
The trip to Fleetwood is followed by Blue Square North games at Solihull Moors, Tamworth and Workington as well as an FA Trophy game at Kettering and a Setanta Shield area final at Barrow or Southport.
The only break might come from a draw with Kettering, which would force a replay at the New Bucks Head.
And Adams believes struggling Fleetwood could prove a tougher start to that run than the league table might suggest – though he takes heart from the Bucks’ run of four wins in their last five away games.
“It’s a hell of a schedule for anyone,” he declared. “It’ a big test for us and it will give us a gauge of how far we have come.
“It’s a big challenge but we can take confidence from our away form. It’s going to be a tough game tomorrow but we can go there and be positive.
“They are down near the bottom but it’s a strange league and your position doesn’t necessarily reflect how well you’re doing.
“There’s teams at the bottom that can easily beat the teams at the top and you really have to be on your guard against anyone.”
Adams has found himself slotting in at right-back and on the right of midfield as well as his more usual central role.
But the former Rushden & Diamonds trainee, who also had spells at Chesterfield and Leamington before joining the Bucks, insists he is happy to play in any position asked of him.
“As long as you’re in the team then you’ve got no complaints,” he said.
“Wherever the gaffer wants me to play, I’ll do it. I spent a couple of years playing at right-back at Rushden and then at Chesterfield so it certainly wasn’t new to me.”
