Two arrested after drugs raid

PoliceTwo men have been arrested after a large quantity of drugs, believed to be cocaine, was recovered during a raid in Shrewsbury.

Officers from the new Proactive Unit raided an address in Longden Gardens at 7am yesterday.

One man was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply Class A drugs and the other on suspicion of possession of Class A drugs. 

Police spokeswoman Maria Hawkaluk said a large quantity of what is believed to be cocaine was seized. 

The man arrested on suspicion of possession received a formal police caution, while the other man was released on police bail pending further inquiries.
