Proposals for a huge waste incinerator on the outskirts of Telford have sparked a huge protest campaign.

Our video team was on hand during TelfordPAIN’s recent day of protests against SITA’s plans.

Campaigners believe the site could harm the health of people in the town and surrounding areas, while the firm itself is adamant that a waste incinerator will be safe.

Take a look at our exclusive video report to find out more.

Would the members of PAIN like to know the infant mortality rates in each of the electoral wards in Kirklees where Sita have one of their “safe” incinerators?

Cllr Raistrick, of Cleckheaton, passed the data to her PCT and they are currently sitting on it.

Sita know all about me as they wish to build incinerators in Capel, Surrey and in St Dennis, Cornwall and they’ll have clips about my research from Dorking Advertiser, Surrey Mirror, & Cornish Guardian articles. How many was it Sita? I seem to remember eight articles but it might have been more.
