Missing girl ‘seen in town’

A 12-year-old girl who has gone missing from her north Shropshire home has been spotted in Telford, police said today.
Aimee Parkes had not been seen since she left her home in Prees Green, near Whitchurch, on January 7, at about 12.45pm.
Police said they believe the youngster had travelled to Telford to be with friends or family.
Today Denise Wakefield, Telford police spokeswoman, said: “Aimee is still missing today.
“We have received some information of possible sightings in the Telford area.
“Police officers are making inquiries today, but we would still appeal for anyone with information to come forward.”
She said Aimee had been involved in an argument at home before she went missing. She is described as being about 4ft 8in, of slim build with blue eyes and long straight blonde hair.
She was last seen wearing a black Everlast hooded top, navy tracksuit bottoms and white/pale blue trainers.
