£250,000 lottery prize unclaimed
Tuesday 13th January 2009, 4:20PM GMT.
A lottery player who bought a winning ticket in Shropshire has failed to claim a £250,000 prize.
The Thunderball ticket was bought in a county shop for the Wednesday draw on Christmas Eve.
Despite the ticket matching five numbers plus the Thunderball, the ticket holder failed to check their numbers on Christmas Eve and went on to celebrate Christmas Day unaware they had scooped the cash prize.
No-one has yet come forward to claim the prize fund. The draw number was 821 and the winning numbers were 11, 24, 27, 28, 29 and Thunderball 11.
