Firms join forces for IT solutions

Monday 12th January 2009, 2:46PM GMT.

Dyke Yaxley Chartered Accountants, from Shrewsbury, is now working with Baase Limited, a firm of IT specialists from Bridgnorth.

The aim of the partnership approach is to help businesses find their way through the ever-increasing technological advances, in order to find the systems that best suit their company’s needs.

Dyke Yaxley will supply the technology and computer equipment, and Baase will provide the software and systems advice.

Dyke Yaxley IT director, Adrian Key, said: “We are very pleased to be working so closely with Baase, and we’re looking forward to sharing our knowledge with them, and learning more about their skills at the same time.”

He said the IT team had initially been set up to support the accountancy firm itself, but it had now expanded its services to offer them to external clients all over the UK.

“Demand for our IT support services is growing from clients all over Shropshire and beyond, and we provide far more than just technical support.

“Over half our IT team are trained accountants and three-quarters have Microsoft qualifications. These combined skills mean we can focus on a company’s computer systems while they concentrate on running their business.”

Paul Marshall, from Baase, said the company’s directors had around 25 years’ combined experience in dealing with business IT systems, and worked with a range of clients including hotels, football clubs, charities, distribution companies, and farm shops.

“We provide tailored and off-the-shelf IT solutions and ongoing support for small and medium-sized businesses, and we’re also an accredited Sage business partner – one of only 20 in the UK.

“Working closely with Dyke Yaxley is an excellent opportunity for us, and we’re keen to develop our business relationship to help companies maximise the opportunities that the latest innovations in IT can bring.”
