Saturday 10th January 2009, 12:18PM GMT.
A man arrested in connection with an armed robbery at a bookmakers in Shrewsbury has been released by police.
The man was released on police bail as further inquiries are carried out.
A second man arrested at the same time, following the incident at the Corbett betting shop on Thursday night, was released without charge yesterday.
Police said the investigation was ongoing after a man entered the shop just before 6pm on Thursday and threatened a member of staff with what is believed to have been a handgun.
Nobody was injured in the incident and the man is reported to have left empty handed a few seconds later.
Detective Inspector Gavin Kinrade, of Shrewsbury CID, appealed for people who might have seen anyone matching the description of the alleged offender in the area, or who has any information which would help the police, to get in touch on 0300 333 3000.
The man is described as white, in his 20s and about 5ft 10in tall. He was wearing dark footwear, light-coloured jeans and a grey hooded top. He may have had a dark top on beneath this and had a black or dark-coloured scarf around his face.
The man entered the shop and pointed what appeared to be a handgun at a member of staff. He made off towards Ditherington a few seconds later, empty handed.
