Dodger is our dog of the week
Saturday 10th January 2009, 9:20AM GMT.

Local Dogs Trust Roden resident Dodger is a gorgeous German Shepherd Lurcher cross. He has been with the charity since March last year and, despite his playful and big-hearted nature, he keeps being overlooked by potential new owners.
At heart six-year-old Dodger is full of fun, though he can be a bit timid when he meets new people. Manager of Dogs Trust Roden Louise Campbell is concerned that his shyness may be why the pointy-eared pet is never chosen.
She said: “New people do worry him, but whoever is lucky enough to adopt Dodger will discover that this big lad is absolutely lovely when he knows you. He is also very clever and keen to learn new tricks, and because he loves his food it should be even easier!
“Once he has a secure and loving home and a little time to forget his worries, this beautiful boy will make a very fun and loyal friend for life.”
This lovely dog is looking for a happy new home with an owner who will understand he needs a little time to settle in before the real Dodger shines through. He can live with children 16 years and over, and he is good with other dogs, especially if they are as playful as him.
If you think you can offer Dodger the home he has been waiting for, please visit Dogs Trust Roden, Roden Lane Farm, Telford, or call 01952 770225.
