Line-up announced for folk festival

Organisers of Shrewsbury’s popular Folk Festival have released their list of confirmed acts for this year’s eagerly-anticipated event, which takes place from August 28 to 31.

Among them are folk favourite Seth Lakeman, Scottish duo The Proclaimers and New York folk singer Eric Bibb, pictured above.
Old favourites such as Show Of Hands will also make a welcome return to Shrewsbury, as well as a diverse range of artists that have never appeared in the UK before, including the Dust Poets from Canada and Hoven Droven from Sweden.

How did Bridgnorth lose this festival ? It’s such a shame, it was a real asset.
Lineup looks great – Seth Lakeman would be the highlight for me, I saw him last year at Escot Park and he was terrific.
