Flags go up for Darwin

Charles DarwinCelebrations to mark the 200th anniversary of the birth of Shrewsbury’s most famous son, Charles Darwin, will begin in earnest this week.

Flags and banners are being displayed at key locations across the town, and will remain there as part of the year-long celebrations related to the author of On The Origin of Species.
