Dental practice plans to expand

A Shrewsbury dental practice is looking to expand the business – creating jobs and meaning it could see more patients.

Hollings & Partners dental surgeons wants to move from its current ageing base in the town to an expanded unit.

It has lodged plans to transform New Park House on Brassey Road from an office to a dental practice.

Richard Gatenby, a partner at the Town Walls-based practice, which sees private and NHS patients, said the firm had been looking to move and eventually the New Park House site came up for sale.

He said: “We have made an offer on it provisionally, depending on the planning permission going through and being successful.

“If we were to take over the whole of the site we would probably be about 30 per cent bigger than we are now. One would hope that it will provide new job opportunities for people in the area.”
