Sowdon’s heartbreak

Shropshire boxer Robbie Sowdon suffered national final heartbreak – and it came in controversial fashion.
Shrewsbury ABC’s Sowdon went down 5-3 to Lynn’s Victor Jennings in the under 54kgs novice ABA title in Nottingham.
Sowdon was leading going into the final 15 seconds of the contest but was deducted two points by the referee for holding, much to the fury of the 19-year-old and his team.
