Our dog of the week is a real Lady
Friday 12th December 2008, 9:45AM GMT.
Can you offer Lady a happy new home?
Although she is older in years, you cannot help but fall in love with this beautiful dog when you look into her big brown eyes.
The gorgeous German Shepherd is currently living at Oakfield, a unique house at Dogs Trust Roden where dedicated staff live with the more elderly dogs who often have a trickier time finding a new owner or need extra special care.
Despite her 12 years and gentle demeanour, Lady still has a spring in her step.
She loves a short walk and then to stretch out on a big cosy bed and have a nap. Her favourite things are food and cuddles.
Oakfield Manager Kerrie Ridgway, who currently lives with Lady, said:
“Lady really and truly is a lady. She is just such a beautiful and loving dog, she deserves to find a special home where she can spend her retirement being lavished with TLC.
“Whoever is lucky enough to take this girl home with them will not only have a devoted friend, but more love than they know what to do with!”
Being the gentlewoman she is, Lady is very good with other dogs, and can also live with children from eight years old.
If you think you can offer her the home she deserves, please call Dogs Trust Roden on 01952 770225.
