Bomb jury out for second day

Wednesday 10th December 2008, 11:36AM GMT.

The jury in the case of a former Shropshire doctor and his friend accused of car bomb attacks in London and Glasgow today retired for a second day to continue its deliberations.

Mr Justice Mackay sent the jury out to deliberate yesterday morning following eight weeks of evidence at Woolwich Crown Court.

Junior doctor Bilal Abdulla, 29, and neurologist Mohammed Asha, 28, who worked at the Royal Shrewsbury Hospital from August 2005 to August 2006, are accused of conspiracy to murder and to cause explosions. They deny the charges.
