Curtains up for last panto at hall
Wednesday 3rd December 2008, 11:10AM GMT.
The last pantomime to be staged at Shrewsbury’s Music Hall was due to open today.
The Adventures of Robin Hood was written especially for the town by director John Spillers and was expected to get under way today with a matinee and evening performances.
Today theatre managers said ticket sales were beating last year’s records.
The Music Hall will be replaced with Theatre Severn, which opens in spring and Adam Burgan, programme and marketing manager, said that shows by James Morrison and Pam Ayres had already sold out.
