Choir’s album tops charts again
Monday 24th November 2008, 11:15AM GMT.
A choir from the Shropshire border was top of the classical music charts today for the third time in as many years.
The Froncysyllte Male Voice Choir’s new album, Voices of the Valley Home, topped the classical charts yesterday – as well as reaching number 12 in the pop charts.
And the choir’s first album, Voices of the Valley, released three years ago, has re-entered the classical charts at number six.
Dave Jones, choir chairman, from Llanymynech, said they were “completely overwhelmed”.
He added: “The fairytale that began when we were spotted singing at a wedding just goes on and on.”
