Property pricesMore ‘realistic’ pricing is behind the rise in the number properties changing hands during October, according to the latest figures.

The credit crunch is seeing sellers slashing their asking prices and buyers taking advantage.

This led to a rise in house sales during October – the second rise in as many months.

Estate agents sold an average of seven properties during the month, up from six in September and a record low of five in August, according to the National Association of Estate Agents (NAEA).

But we want to know how house prices are affecting you. Are you a seller having to slash thousands of pounds off the price of your home, or are you a buyer taking advantage of lower prices in order to get your foot on the property ladder?  Write to us here with your experiences.
