Trust fund to remember Kirstie
Tuesday 18th November 2008, 11:55AM GMT.
A trust fund could be set up in memory of murdered Shropshire teenager Kirstie Foster to raise money for disabled horse riders.
The 15-year-old Ellesmere College student was killed by her father, Chris, at their home in Maesbrook, Oswestry, in August.

The youngster’s beloved horses, on which she had won prizes in horse shows in the weeks before her death, were also killed by Foster at Osbaston House.
Enid Foster, Foster’s elderly mother, said today that the family hoped to set up a trust fund so people would remember her beloved granddaughter.
She said the fund would be made up of any assets left to the family, although she did not know what the financial situation was yet.
Mrs Foster, who lives in south Shropshire, said: “We have said that at the end of the day if there is any money left to me or my younger son, Andrew, we would like to set up a trust fund in Kirstie’s name for Riding for the Disabled.
“We thought that would be a fitting tribute to her because she loved her horses. She was lovely.”
Devastated friends said the talented rider devoted hours of her time to her horses and ponies.
A series of photographs from Kirstie’s Facebook page showed her smiling as she rode her horses in competitions and at home.
Mrs Foster said: “There’s no money or anything yet, it’s just an idea very much in its infancy. It might be in 12 months or even more, but we have inquired about the possibility of doing this.
“Andrew doesn’t want to gain from this and I don’t want to gain from it. It was Andrew’s idea and I thought it was brilliant.”
Foster, 50, his 49-year-old wife Jill and Kirstie had enjoyed a barbecue at a neighbour’s home in the hours before Foster shot Jill and killed Kirstie before turning his luxury home into an inferno.
Dozens of friends paid tribute to Kirstie, a talented sports player who played in several college teams.
Her friends were left devastated when the remains of the third body pulled from the house was identified as the youngster. Police said her remains were found in the rubble under what would have been her bedroom.
An inquest has been opened and adjourned and is expected to be resumed next year.
