In an effort to beat the credit crunch, and perhaps entice the unwanted attentions of wolves in the process, John Fletcher is planning to build his new house entirely out of straw. He and his wife Barbara believe it can be done for around £60,000 and the finished product will be significantly more eco-friendly than a traditional brick-and-mortar building. A bit harder to paint or wallpaper though, I’d guess.
