Friday 31st October 2008, 11:59AM GMT.
Shrewsbury Town take on struggling Luton Town in Coca-Cola League Two at the Prostar Stadium tomorrow (3pm).
Town will be looking to cement their position in the play-off chasing pack after the 2-2 draw against Barnet on Tuesday night.

Luton started the season on minus 30 points due to a breach of FA regulations and the Football League insolvency policy.
They are still rock-bottom of the league with minus 14 points, 20 points from safety.
They are likely to name former Shrewsbury loan signing Asa Hall in their line-up, while Town will be hoping on-loan Albion keeper Luke Daniels will be fit after missing the last two games with a thigh strain.

This is absolutely pathetic – the only people who lose out are the fans. You both want your heads knocking together, all the hardship in the world and some poxy article results in a blackout?? Get in there, get sorted and give us back our coverage!

I gather James is banned but surely there must be someone else who can go along and interview the players/staff?

This situation is totally detrimental not only to the club but for those supporters living overseas who look forward to receiving articles about what is going on, not to mention the locals.
I am very surprised at the negative attitude from those responsible at the club, it certainly doesn’t do them any favours in other people’s eyes. Maybe the stadium should have the name changed from Prostar to Prostate (A firm partly muscular chestnut sized gland in males)

Why don’t the Shropshire Star have James cover AFC Telford and Chris Hudson cover the Shrews? Not difficult is it?
I understand the stance the SS are taking but they will lose sales..not a great business decision in my opinion.

Elmo,
No newspaper in the world would do what you’re suggesting on the basis of placating a football club. Newspapers guard their editorial independence fiercely. Like most other businesses, their decisions will be made by the board. If they did what you suggested, they’d essentially be sacrificing their independence and operating solely to please STFC, which is not their job.
