County in Halloween spirit
Friday 31st October 2008, 3:00PM GMT.
There will be ghoulish goings-on tonight as youngsters across Shropshire celebrate Halloween. Across the county, people have been getting into the “spirit” of things by dressing up and holding spooky events.
Staff at Telford opticians Dolland and Aitchison donned Halloween garb and held a raffle and a “guess the number of eyeballs in the jar” game to help raise cash for Vision Aid Overseas.

The telesales department of Telford’s Geko Direct Ltd was transformed into a Halloween haven as about 40 staff turned up to work dressed as skeletons, witches, ghosts, and devils.
And a spooky air is due to descend over the Blists Hill Victoria Town near Ironbridge tomorrow as the museum hosts its annual Halloween party.
Visitors to The Ghostly Gaslight event, which starts at 6pm, are being encouraged to dress up in frightening costumes to ward off any ghostly apparitions.
And shoppers in Telford Town Centre got advice on turning out tasty food from seasonal food leftovers as part of the nationwide Love Food Hate Waste campaign.
