Two sisters marry two brothers

Pippa and Rich Pope, with their children Connor, Estelle and LoganTwo Shropshire couples are keeping it in the family after two sisters married two brothers.

The unusual arrangement came about following the marriage of Rich and Pippa Pope at Albright Hussey Hotel, in Shrewsbury, on August 22 this year.

And to top the close family links, Pippa’s father, the Reverend Prebendary David Chantrey, blessed the couple’s wedding last weekend and also conducted his grandson’s baptism on the same day.

Pippa’s sister Liz, 33, of Claverley, is married to Rich’s brother Trevor.

Pippa, 28, of Beech Road, Bridgnorth, and Rich met through their brother and sister.

The blessing took place at St Peter and St Paul’s Church, Tasley, Bridgnorth, and was conducted by Pippa’s father, who also conducted their son Logan’s baptism, after the ceremony.

A joint reception and baptism party was held at Bridgnorth Town Football Club.

Mr Chantrey said: “It’s just been a wonderful occasion and we’re very lucky to have that situation and a great family.”

Pippa and Rich have three children, Connor, Estelle and Logan.
