Richie will ‘Just Go’ to the NEC

Lionel RichieMusic legend Lionel Richie is returning to the road with a European tour which calls in at the LG Arena at Birmingham NEC next March.

The Motown superstar’s tour will include his first UK shows since his sold out 2007 Coming Home Tour.

The 35 date tour will see Richie perform at the LG Arena on Tuesday March 31, 2009.

Tickets, priced at £35, £55 and £75 plus booking and transaction fees go on sale on Friday (October 24) at 9am and can be purchased via theticketfactory.com or by calling The Ticket Factory on 0844 33 88 000.

The tour will follow the release of Lionel Richie’s ninth solo studio album Just Go which will be released early next year.

Richie’s success story over nearly 30 years is the stuff of legends. He has sold more than 100 million albums, won countless awards including an Oscar, a Golden Globe, a staggering five Grammy Awards and the Crystal Award for Humanitarianism, has written some of the best known and loved songs in pop history and continues to sell-out stadium and arena shows all over the world.

His 2009 Tour will give fans a chance to experience first hand his new album and also his incredible back catalogue – from the classics of his solo career such as Hello, Dancing on The Ceiling and Endless Love to the mega-hits of his Commodore days, like Easy and Three Times a Lady.
