UFO sighting comes to light
Monday 20th October 2008, 10:31AM BST.
A sighting of a UFO piloted by white suited aliens and reported to a county air base has come to light in newly-declassified documents.
The sighting was made in 1988, but has been kept secret until today.
It is one of 19 military UFO documents now published online by the National Archives.
The reports, which cover the period 1986 to 1992, include a passenger jet in a near-miss with a UFO above Kent, and a US air force pilot’s account of being ordered to shoot down a UFO over East Anglia.
The Shropshire report was made to RAF Cosford by a woman living in the West Midlands.

More evidence of aliens in county?
She described seeing a dome-shaped UFO which descended towards her as if about to crash, but which hovered in front of her, about 40 feet in the air.
The square object was lit up red on its left side and green on its right. “There was a dome on the top with a window partitioned into three,” the report said.
The woman said the interior was “very well lit” and she could see three people inside, “two sitting and one standing, and all appeared to be wearing white suits”.
The woman said she could not describe the sound of the craft, but there was no smell.
The report said she ran into her house and looked out of the window to see the UFO leave. The rear of the craft had three sets of lights, each made up of four lights.
The full report can be found online at http://ufos.nationalarchives.gov.uk/

How interesting that these extra-terrestrials should adopt the ‘Red for Port, Green for Starboard’ protocol as we do here on earth…

All very convincing as usual

In light of such convincing testimony I am now waiting for Phil Hoyle of the ‘prestigious’ UFO investigation and research unit in Shrewsbury to claim that this is proof of a government UFO cover up.
BTW: Also included in the archive is a letter from a woman claiming to be from the ‘Sirius system’ who said her spacecraft crashed during World War II – apparently it also contained two ‘Spectran’ aliens described as having “Mr Spock ears”

And when are they going to release this womans mental heath record?

To be quite honest when A non human person exits a UFO and it is captured by TV, papers, media etc that is when I will believe in UFO’s until then they are fairy tales for adults
Report abuse
presumably they use sat nav

Can’t believe there was no smell!!!
Will you give it a rest now Shropshire Star!!!
Im not convinced that space aliens would build a craft capable of intergalactic travel and then head for the West Midlands.
The more you think about it the less likely it seems.

I was once abducted and forced to play scrabble….wait…that was just the in-laws….

All about as believable as that other collection of fantasy and fairy tales called the bible.
Brian Tetbury – The Bible is very believable- I would suggest you buy a book called the bible code, The bible is in fact coded to aid human development in the future however until we are advanced enough to decode the bible its secrets will remain mysteries.
Y Mab – the Bible is just a book. There is no hard evidence whatsoever to justify a belief in sky fairies, no matter which religion you subscribe to.
As for the idea that the Bible is ‘coded to aid human development’ (but we don’t yet understand how!) What a cop-out! If we don’t understand how then how could we know that it was coded to aid our development?
If it’s a code, and we haven’t broken it then how could we know what it meant?
The Bible Code has been widely discredited – not least by similar studies of other works of fiction, such as ‘Moby Dick’(betcha that doesn’t get past the censorship!)which also apparently contains ‘codes’.
It’s a lot of nonsense, in much the same way as Nostradamus’s ‘predictions’ are.
Peter: I was wondering if you have actually read the Bible, cover to cover?
Would you also brand this Global Warming “science” as the new Nostradamus?
Peter – a lot of reserchers are trying to crack the bible code. It contains binary computer data which are computers are not fully powerful to solve yet.
In the future when mankind is more advanced we will be able to solve the mysteries of the bible code as the creator wishes however until we are sufficently evolved that will not happen.
I have not heard of any other codes being obtained from any other books – have you got a link for your facts.
Blimey everyone knows the answer is 42.
Surley the Highway Code is a book with a code in it that doesn’t need a computer to crack? or am I missing something here?
Y Mab – try: http://www.dartmouth.edu/~chance/teaching_aids/books_articles/Maya.html for starters.
These sort of codes can be found in many books – it’s simply a feature of random data that if you are selective about what you look at, you can find apparent ‘codes’ in anything. It looks mysterious and spooky – but it isn’t.
Lucy, I was brought up as a member of a major religion, and had a religious education as a result, so I’m pretty well up on the Bible.
I’ll state again – there isn’t a shred of hard evidence for a God within it.
As for Global warming science, I believe the evidence has been skewed by the political aims of zealots in the eco-movement.
There are some theories which are politically acceptable, and others which are less so, and thus get less air-time, less research funds etc.
Either group may be correct, but I feel at present there is no reliable balance and the pure science is being corrupted by the desired outcome of pressure groups.

Y Mab, Another of your points puzzles me. ‘It contains binary computer data which are (sic) computers are not fully powerful to solve yet.’
Computers, not equipped to deal with binary data?! What on earth do you think has formed the basis of every digital computer since the start of the computer age? Yes, binary data!
What do you think ’32-bit computing’ refers to in your home computer? ‘Bit’ = binary digit.
If you’re going to try and baffle people with science please at least make sure it’s credible.

Tiddles is of course right the answer is 42.

Peter: Thats very re-assuring that I am not the onlyone with blind faith, in religion or Global Warming.
However, I do worry if case their is a heaven. Can you imagine arriving at the pearly gates and St Peter telling us to stand over in the corner with all the other atheists? We’re gona feel pretty silly when Y Mab waves as he goes straight in!
The Bible is in fact a complete rip off and the story of Christ a copy of a greek story. In fact the tale of a virgin birth, son of a god sacrificed for the good of man goes back thousands of years before Christ. It is less believable than the UFO’s.

Jane – If there is a God/higher power do you really think he is that bothered about which religion/faith you use to worship him?
Somehow I doubt it
Report abuse
Y Mab,
I bumped into God in WHSmiths up the town centre the other day actually. He was looking for a book on binary data and said he didn’t know what all the fuss was about and that we should all just get along.
He gave me his mobile number cos he had to dash off for lunch with his mates, so any further issues and i will give him a text

Is it just me or do comments on this site quickly get off the point? The comments on the ‘bike sculpture’ quickly became politically charged and what started as a few sarcastic comments about UFOs has turned into a heated debate on the existance of God. People in Shropshire are clearly crying out for somewhere to have their say. Perhaps this site should have a forum to dicuss all of the worlds problems because Shropshire Star readers seem to have the answers! :)

This debate is taking some unusual turns! we all love a mystery and a conspiracy! but me I just adore good old chaos theory! and UFO activity is chaotic.
