Body found on rail line
Monday 20th October 2008, 1:00PM BST.
A body was found on a Shropshire railway line leading to the suspension of all train services.
Police said a man’s body was found at Walcot, near the Grove pub, between Wellington and Shrewsbury.
A Network Rail spokesman said: “As it is a crime scene, trains have been stopped. We can’t reveal anything as it’s all in the police hands.”
A West Mercia Police spokesman said they were desperately trying to find out who the person was.
He confirmed there had been a fatality, but they did not have any further details as yet.
