Cheeky calendar is a sell-out

Yes girls, it’s Mr April
A cheeky calendar which features people in Broseley baring all has proved such a hit that organisers have had to order 250 more copies.
The first print run sold out within a few days but it is hoped more will be on sale in town shops by the end of next week.
The calendar, which was launched on October 3, features 13 models – one for each month and another on the cover – captured in all their glory, with only a few strategic props to preserve their modesty.
Each calendar costs £5 and profits will be donated to the town’s Christmas lights appeal.
The appeal committee raises cash to replace and add to the display of festive lights in the town centre each year and finances the switch-on event.
This year’s switch-on on November 22 will feature a samba band, jazz band, theatre, a street entertainer and stalls opening in Victoria Hall and the Birchmeadow Centre from 2pm.
Committee chairman David Wallace said he was thrilled at how popular the calendar had become.
“It’s been immensely popular and the first lot sold out within three days,” he said. “We’ve had to order another 250 to cope with demand.
“It’s an awfully good product and it’s smashing that all the money is going towards the lights appeal. I was a bit frightened how it would end up. I thought it might be a bit grubby, but Angela Brickley the photographer did a great job.
“The people that took part are really proud of being in it and being part of Broseley. Broseley people are proud of their Christmas lights.
“I knew we would get support from the local community, but I didn’t think it would sell out so quickly. I’ve been having people phoning me and coming up to me asking where they can get a copy of the calendar.
“We’re hoping the new batch will be ready by the end of next week.”
