Shrews 1 – Port Vale 2

A late goal for 10-man Port Vale saw them take victory and three points after dramatic clash at Town’s Prostar Stadium on Saturday.

There should have been no goal in that situation where Richards hits Daniels.
I hope that Port Vale will be fined for their supporters enter the ground afterwards.

it appears that richards fouled daniels with a 2 footed tackle in daniels mouth it is also possible that brave daniels diving for the ball got richards boot in his mouth. either a terrible tackle or an accident, it happened so quickly that any competent ref would have disallowed the “goal”, even allowing for the excited rabid vale fans. i am concerned that the league may have something to say about towns stewards. where were the police when the vale fans ran onto the pitch. the game should be declared a draw by the f/league

Hang on I was at the match and can I just say that the Shrewsbury Fans ran towards us when they scored and caused the trouble and also one Shrewsbury fan did get arrested! I am making no excuses for our fans but Shrewsbury fan’s were ‘no angels’ The police when we left the ground treated me and my boyfriend like criminals and made us miss our coach because they wouldn’t let us move from the area!

After the outing of the Shrewsbury Town hooligans just 3 days ago on this website are we really going to believe its “rabid vale fans”
I very much doubt it – Shrewsbury Town should be docked some points for this outrageous display by a minority Shrewsbury Town fans

i apologise for my comment rabid which was meant to indicate very excitable fans and i withdraw it. i hope the return fixture can be played and watched in a sporting manner and i wish vale a swift climb up the league, but i do think 1-1 would have been a fairer result
