Hurt walker in hospital dash

A walker had to be airlifted to hospital with a suspected fractured ankle after falling at a Shropshire country park.

The walker, a woman in her 40s, injured her ankle after falling at Severn Valley Country Park, in Alveley, near Bridgnorth, at about 3.15pm yesterday afternoon. The woman was taken to New Cross Hospital, in Wolverhampton.
