“…and you can have any car, as long as it’s a Vauxhall Chevette.” This photo shows Mr Pat Greenhous, left, with a host of Vauxhall Chevette estates destined for Granada TV Rental.
Roy Pilsbury, of Shrewsbury, who loaned us this picture from the Greenhous archive, says about 500 of these vehicles were delivered nationwide.
The photo is from around the late 1970s and was taken at the Midland Yard, Coleham, Shrewsbury. The second gentleman is unidentified.
