Mohammed AshaThe trial of a former Shropshire doctor accused of plotting to explode car bombs in London and Glasgow was due to start this afternoon.

Mohammed Asha, 28, who worked at the Royal Shrewsbury Hospital as a junior doctor until August 2006, was due to appear at Woolwich Crown Court for the start of his trial.

His arrest came hours after Abdullah, of the Royal Alexandra Hospital, Paisley, was arrested after a burning Jeep was driven into Glasgow Airport on June 30 last year.
