S&H eye up the title

Shropshire & Herefordshire’s leading amateur golfers are within one success of booking their place in the history books.
Nigel Chesters’ side made it four Midlands League wins out of four with a 10.5-4.5 away victory over Staffordshire at Newcastle-under-Lyme yesterday.
And that means victory over title rivals Nottinghamshire at Shifnal next Sunday will see S&H claim the championship for the first time ever.
“It was a fantastic victory and it sets it up brilliantly for next week,” said manager Terry Horrobin.
