Rollercoaster time for Brown

It could be a make or break time for Gordon Brown as Labour holds its party conference in the wake of a tumultuous week in the financial markets.

Andy Richardson talks to Deputy Editor Jon Simcock and Business Editor Amy Bould after a week which has seem the collapse of Lehman Brothers and the huge deal between HBOS and Lloyds TSB.

On top of this, inflation is up to 4.7% and unemployment is at its highest level for a decade.

On a lighter note, the Shropshire Star’s Ben Bentley has interviews a former IT consultant who jacked in his job to become a brewer and is enjoying a real taste of success.
